Snapseed Gets Updated, Packs New Features
Snapseed by Google, one of the top Android image editing apps, has been updated with some great new features.
While focused on usual bug fixing, the silver lining of this updates is making the process of saving the edited pictures easier along with few newly introduced automatic features.
The hot news about this update is the addition of features like Auto-Straighten and Lens Blur. The latter introduces automatic face detection with a subsequent blurring of surrounding areas, reducing your blur edition efforts to a bare minimum. Auto-Straighten plays the smart part and automatically aligns the image along the horizon given it's present in the shot.
Another new feature for proud owners of expandable memory devices is the ability to install the app directly on your SD card. While the actual purpose of this is not clear, most likely it's about saving some space on your device. Truth be told, Snapseed isn't a heavyweight, but there's nothing wrong with having options.
While one of the focus points on this update was to make saving your photos easier and more reliable, not all of the users are too impressed.
WARNING!!! Was my favorite... This update ruined it...apparently saving edits now overwrites the original photos. I trusted you guys & left auto-update on for this app. If it's not fixed asap, gonna have to uninstall.
